Woodfield Center SchoolAt Woodfield Center, teachers and residential staff are trained in the psychology called Choice Theory. This theoretical basis was created from the idea that every human being has basic needs, and the behaviors exhibited by individuals are attempts to meet those needs. Choice Theory is the basis for Reality Therapy. Reality Theory is a method to help our clients identify what they want and need, and to realistically evaluate if their behaviors are helping them attain the desired goals. It is the opposite of external control. In Reality Therapy, we realize that the only person that we have control over is ourselves. Once we eliminate the external controls from our lives, our relationships with others can improve. Organization contact: Angie Wilken, () Organization website: http://jm082.k12.sd.us/
