WGBH Educational Foundation

WGBH first hit the New England airwaves in October 1951 with a live radio concert by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Today, WGBH offers multiple television and radio channels, vibrant Web content, and a wide range of teaching tools used in classrooms from coast to coast. WGBH produces more of the PBS prime-time lineup and Web content than any other source and is a key supplier to the nation's public radio stations. WGBH’s Education Outreach department creates resources and programs that complement our varied media productions. From teachers guides to informal education initiatives, our outreach efforts reach into communities around the country to educate and engage key groups of individuals, encourage community participation, raise awareness, and effect change.
