UnIntelligent Design--Why Evolution Explains the Human Body, and Intelligent Design Does Not

I give a presentation titled "UnIntelligent Design--Why Evolution Explains the Human Body and Intelligent Design Does Not" It takes about half an hour and includes lots of pictures. It is very funny. The basic outline is that I look at five parts of the human body that don't work very well, and point out simple fixes that could have been done, if only we had been designed, rather than evolved. I then show other animals that got better body parts, leading to questions such as "Who does god like better--us, or squid?" People enjoy this. I also dispose of irreducible complexity along the way. I have a doctorate in zoology from Oxford, and I teach human anatomy & physiology to undergraduates, so I am uniquely suited to thinking of and understanding these comparisons. The talk is very accessible. You do not have to be a scientist to understand it, and it is deliberately short and funny, so that non-scientists will enjoy it and leave the talk with some handy arguments to use against ID. I have also been interviewed on NPR and PRI on this topic.
