«Meet the COPUS Network
Bay Area Science SchmoozeBay Area Science represents a partnership between scientific organizations, individuals, and groups that are dedicated to public engagement in science. On this site, you can search science events ranging from interactive discussions to tours. In addition, youll be able to take advantage of a multitude of local online science content. Whether you want to go to a local museum, watch a science video, or attend a discussion, its all available on BayAreaScience.org. BayAreaScience.org is a proud participant in COPUS, a growing national grassroots effort whose goal is to get the public excited about science and to increase understanding of how science works, its value to society, and who scientists are. A key objective of COPUS is to create new forums for communication and to develop new opportunities for engaging the public with science. BayAreaScience.org is maintained through continued support from Down to a Science and CFI|SF. In addition, it is supported by in-kind contributions from its participants and by gifts from The Whitman Institute and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
